Our teenage daughter has been taking ballet classes with Julie Hebb for several years, and we think Julie is a fabulous dance instructor.  She is extremely attentive - offering corrections for each dancer throughout class.  She pushes each dancer to be the best they can be in an encouraging and supportive manner.  As parents, we appreciate that she communicates clearly, is flexible and accommodating, and is a warm and friendly person.  Seacoast area dancers (children, teens, and adults) are lucky to have an opportunity to train with such a wonderful, highly qualified instructor.

I
met Julie in 2011 and was immediately struck by her warmth, enthusiasm for her students, passion for dance, and wonderfully interesting choreography!  I am an adult who trained intensively in classical ballet from age 7 through my teen years, and had begun dancing professionally before leaving dance to attend college.  After a long break, I returned to ballet and began exploring modern and other dance forms.  In Julie's care, I have found an environment where I am challenged, inspired, and where I am also appreciated for the depth of my experience.  Not only is Julie to be recognized for her ability to grow young talent, but she is also to be commended for the way in which she honors adult students.  Julie is a true gem in the dance community.

Julie's ballet classes are challenging and fun.  Julie is so encouraging and pays attention to detail.  I came to Julie with gaps in my ballet technique, and she helped me improve my dancing by filling in those gaps.  After a few years with her, I can say that my dancing has improved significantly since I first started dancing ballet.

My
daughter...is a SAG eligible actor who just recently performed a lead role in Off-Broadway; will be heard singing vocals for a National PSA for Kids for Global Peace; and was just cast in a lead role in Boston - Josie in Anne of Green Gables.  Her time spent training with Julie Hebb has been one of the greatest investments made in her career.  Julie is a brilliant, benevolent ballet instructor who has inspired and nurtured Blaine's love of dance.  Julie was on faculty at STEPS in NYC - the premiere dance studio for Broadway dancers and West Side dance Mom's.  Julie is a love!

Miss Julie's classes are always challenging; she pushes you as far as you can go while making it lots of fun!!!  Every time her class is over, I can feel the improvement.  She's one of the sweetest teachers I've ever had, and her classes have been, and will continue to be, an important part of my dance training.

I have danced with Julie Hebb...for a year now and decided to continue this summer because she is clear in her teaching style and experienced as a dancer.  I find her to be extremely supportive of dancers of all levels.

The Dance Annex

I see dance being used as communication between body and soul, to express what is too deep, too fine for words.
